PDF to Word Converter FAQ
Basic Conversion
Our converter uses advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to: 1) Extract text from PDFs while preserving formatting, 2) Recognize tables and convert them to editable Word tables, 3) Maintain images and their positions, 4) Recreate headers, footers, and page layouts. For scanned documents, we first convert the image to searchable text.
We support conversion to: 1) DOCX (Microsoft Word 2007+), 2) DOC (legacy Word format), 3) RTF (Rich Text Format), 4) ODT (OpenDocument Text). DOCX is recommended for best formatting preservation and smallest file size.
Free version limits: 1) 50MB file size, 2) 100 pages per document. Premium accounts get: 1) 200MB file size, 2) 500 page documents. For larger files, we recommend splitting the PDF first or using our desktop application.
Formatting & Quality
Our tool maintains: 1) Font styles and sizes (90-95% accuracy), 2) Paragraph spacing and alignment, 3) Tables and columns, 4) Images and their positions. For complex layouts, enable "Precise Formatting" mode which uses advanced algorithms for better accuracy (may increase processing time).
Yes! Enable "OCR Mode" for scanned documents: 1) Select document language(s), 2) Choose between editable text or image+text layer, 3) Adjust recognition confidence level. For best results, use clear scans with minimum 300 DPI resolution and good contrast.
Some differences occur because: 1) Word and PDF use different layout engines, 2) Custom fonts may be substituted, 3) Complex vector graphics convert to raster images. Try our "Enhanced Conversion" mode or adjust the "Layout Fidelity" setting for better results.
Advanced Features
Yes, if you have the password: 1) Upload the PDF, 2) Enter the password when prompted, 3) Proceed with conversion. We cannot convert files with owner passwords that restrict editing. For security, all passwords are discarded after processing and never stored.
Use our page selection tool: 1) Click "Select Pages", 2) Choose individual pages or ranges (e.g., 1-5,8,10-12), 3) Preview your selection, 4) Convert only the selected pages. This works for both text-based and scanned PDFs.
Premium feature: 1) Upload multiple PDFs (up to 20 at once), 2) Apply uniform settings or customize per file, 3) Process all simultaneously, 4) Download as individual files or a single ZIP archive. Batch processing maintains each document's formatting separately.
Security & Troubleshooting
We guarantee: 1) 256-bit SSL encryption for all transfers, 2) Automatic file deletion after 2 hours, 3) No human access to your documents, 4) Option to process files locally in your browser (Chrome/Firefox). For maximum security, use our offline desktop version.
Common issues include: 1) Corrupted PDF structure, 2) Password protection without correct credentials, 3) Unsupported embedded content, 4) Extremely complex layouts. Try: repairing the PDF first, converting to images then OCR, or contacting support.
If text appears as images: 1) Enable OCR mode before converting, 2) Increase the OCR resolution setting, 3) For scanned docs, ensure "Text Recognition" is on. If text is editable but layout is locked: 1) Use "Flow Text" conversion mode, 2) Adjust layout retention settings.
